Samsung’s latest Galaxy Buds lineup has landed, bringing a fresh take on wireless earbuds with smarter sound, refined comfort, and deeper Galaxy AI integration. The new series includes both the Galaxy Buds4 and the Galaxy Buds4 Pro, giving you options depending on whether you want an everyday-friendly pair or a more premium listening experience. Here’s what’s new and worth knowing.

A Refined Fit and New Design

With the Galaxy Buds4 series, Samsung has put a big focus on how these earbuds feel during everyday wear. Both models adopt a sleeker ‘blade’ aesthetic that’s been computationally designed using data from hundreds of millions of global ear data points. Computationally designed is a fancy way of saying the design incorporates computer-driven analysis. So Samsung knows what listeners want and need. The charging case has also been redesigned with a clear clamshell-style lid that makes storing and charging them more intuitive. There are also some really creative Samsung cases on offer at PB Tech. Like these two, for example…

The Galaxy Buds4 Pro use a traditional canal-fit design with silicone ear tips to give a secure in-ear seal. The standard Galaxy Buds4 instead employ an open-fit design that sits comfortably just outside the ear canal, which many will appreciate for long-wear comfort and for staying aware of your surroundings.

Improved Sound Quality Across the Range

Both the Galaxy Buds4 and Galaxy Buds4 Pro support high-resolution audio through Samsung’s Seamless Codec (SSC) Ultra High Quality, letting you enjoy up to 24-bit/96 kHz audio. Bear in mind, this is when paired with compatible Galaxy devices. Higher resolutions preserve more detail from your favourite tracks and give a richer, more dynamic listening experience than standard Bluetooth audio.

The key difference between the two comes down to speaker design, which influences audio performance:

Galaxy Buds4 Pro feature a two-way speaker setup with a super wide woofer and dedicated tweeter, along with dual amplifiers for refined control across lows, mids and highs. This configuration delivers fuller, more balanced sound with less distortion.

Galaxy Buds4 stick to a single dynamic driver that still sounds engaging and capable for everyday listening.

Noise Cancellation & Call Quality

Active noise cancellation (ANC) and ambient sound features are standard across both models, helping you block out background noise or let important sounds in with a tap. Features like Super Wideband also help to keep conversations clear during calls.

Galaxy AI and Gesture Controls

Just like other recent Galaxy devices, Samsung is leaning into smarter interactions with the Galaxy Buds4 series. With compatible Samsung smartphones, you can take advantage of hands-free controls like head gestures to answer or decline calls without touching your phone, and Galaxy AI features such as live translation and interpreter modes that deliver all the information you need through the earbuds as you converse.

Battery Life

The Galaxy Buds4 can deliver around five hours of playback with ANC on, while the charging case adds another 24 hours so you can go much longer between charges. On the Pro side, you’ll see slightly higher numbers - 6 hours of power with an additional 26 hours courtesy of the charging case.

Wireless charging support is also included, giving you more flexibility if you use wireless charging pads or compatible Galaxy devices with reverse wireless charging.

Listen Now

Samsung’s Galaxy Buds4 series is a serious new refresh in the world of TWS earbuds, combining thoughtful design, intelligent sound tuning, and tighter integration with the Galaxy ecosystem than ever before. If you’re already in that ecosystem, it would be hard to go wrong with these, and if you’re not, even more reason to check them out!
