Lian Li is more than well-known in the gaming scene, especially for their PC cases. This time they have collaborated with Daniel Hansen from DAN Cases. Daniel knows more than a thing or two about creating compact cases that remain functional. His ‘DAN Case’ was the smallest PC case in the world, yet remained functional with its ability to still use high-end standardised components. Lian Li has taken his innovative design capabilities and combined them with their reputable manufacturing skills to deliver this unique case to consumers, at a very competitive price.
Lian Li’s new DAN-A3 gaming case is not what usually comes to mind when you think of a gaming case. In a world that’s plastered in RGB (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing), some folks will look to shun the status quo and go for something a little less… well actually just something a little less! This gorgeous white/wooden style gaming PC case offers just that and is perfect if you want to go for a minimalist vibe in your gaming setup/room. It would be great in a shared space where you don’t want to attract too much attention, or maybe next to some indoor plants to accentuate the wooden vibe. Either way, it’s safe to say this is one versatile case, both in form and function!
Lian Li has emphasised a compact fit with this mATX case, ensuring you can build a powerful gaming PC that doesn’t take up the whole desk. You can choose between an mATX or ITX motherboard and there is GPU support for up to a 4-slot, 415mm long GPU. Cooler-wise you have a maximum of 165mm (height) to play with, depending on configuration, and there’s radiator support for up to 360mm. Essentially, you don’t have to sacrifice choice or performance if you decide to go minimalist, with the DAN-A3 offering support for pretty much everything you need, so long as you plan ahead, which you should be doing any time you build a PC anyway. For a detailed breakdown of everything you can fit in here, depending on your intended configuration, head to the Lian Li Store at PB Tech.

The DAN-A3 addresses cooling well too, with 3 mesh panels and the front wooden panel also allowing for airflow. For a budget case, it performs well in testing and popular reviewers like Gamers Nexus have called it an ‘excellent budget case’. You can even get up to 10 fans going, although this would mean getting super specific with your configuration, so you’d most likely be looking at a few less when building your PC.
If you want a great value and compact case to support mATX and ITX motherboards, the Lian Li DAN-A3 is certainly worth a look. It doesn’t look like your typical gamer case, but that’s what makes this such a great choice if you’re after a more natural, minimalistic look to match the rest of your setup.
