In the spotlight today, we have two of the latest additions to Technics lineup of True Wireless Earbuds - the EAH-AZ60M2 and EAH-AZ40M2. While ‘Technics’ may not be a household name just yet, it is certainly making waves in the realm of audio technology. Helmed by audio-visual giant Panasonic, Technics brings a wealth of expertise and industry knowledge to the table, delivering reliable audio products with great functionality and aesthetics. Their latest earbuds are designed specifically for people seeking premium sound quality with the addition of Active Noise Cancelling Technology and unparalleled comfort for home, work and travel.
When designing this generation of true wireless earbuds, Technics’ engineers focused on every aspect of sound - drivers, acoustics, mechanical structure, and digital signal processing – to ensure you can hear every song or phone call with the clearest clarity. These earbuds enhance your auditory experience by seamlessly transitioning from music to active noise-cancellation without any disruption. There's also seamless toggling between up to three devices courtesy of Bluetooth® Multipoint Connection. Top it off with a range of customisable settings and you have earbuds that are crafted to blend effortlessly into any fast-paced lifestyle. Compact yet powerful, they cater to every auditory need with finesse.
In the Technics AZ60M2, the unique design of the Technics acoustic chamber, harmonizer and 8mm drivers, present a full-bodied, expansive sound with smooth and detailed highlights allowing you to hear in great detail. The Acoustic Control Chamber, with its optimised air flow, amplifies bass and enriches mid-range tones. At the heart of the 8mm dynamic driver lies a biocellulose diaphragm that produces a seamless flow of sound, from deep lows to crystal-clear highs, all contributing to an authentic, pure listening experience. THe AZ60M2 also features Dual Hybrid Noise Cancelling Technology. This technology is composed of both Feedforward and Feedback Noise Cancelling which successfully isolates the sounds from your surroundings - both inside and outside your headphones. Coupled with the intricate balance of digital and analogue processing, this dynamic combination boasts top-tier noise cancelling performance.
The Technics AZ40M2 has a slightly smaller, yet advanced 6mm dynamic driver that delivers clear sound with a sense of range and depth. Despite the compact design, the EAH-AZ40M2 houses the same acoustic control chamber as found on the AZ60M2, that optimises air flow for natural sounding vocals and other mid ranges, a powerful bass, and a harmoniser to smooth out trebles to create dynamic range of sound with less distortion. The EAH-AZ40M2 improves upon its predecessor by now incorporating Technics’ Active Noise Cancelling Technology, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in your music or work without outside noise distraction. A digital software filter and feedforward mic effectively suppresses noise from outside the earbuds to deliver high levels of noise cancelling.
Both the AZ60M2 and AZ40M2 models are equipped with Technics' innovative JustMyVoice™ technology. This harnesses the power of Technics' exclusive signal processing to examine your voice signal and mute ambient noise, ensuring your voice is captured with crystal clarity. Voice detection microphones spring into action when you start speaking. Coupled with two MEMS microphones that utilise beamforming technology, they carefully isolate your voice and minimize surrounding disruptions, safeguarding clear conversation even in bustling environments or while commuting. A total of four microphones in the AZ40M2 (two in each earbud) and eight microphones in the AZ60M2 (four in each earbud) play a significant role in supporting more comfortable, natural conversation over the phone.
Both models share a IPX4 water resistant rating, a long battery life of up to 24 hours (with the case), and more unique features! The EAH-AZ40M2 is more compact and lightweight than its big brother, the EAH-AZ60M2, and will remain comfortably in place no matter what you’re doing.
