Those top techs at Seagate have just announced their latest special limited SSD, and this one combines the latest SSD tech with an awesome Cyberpunk 2077 theme - blazing in that signature Cyberpunk 2077 yellow with a dose of glorious RGB!
When I say it’s a limited edition I’m not kidding, Seagate has only 2077 of these for the whole world.. fortunately, a small number has already been confirmed as incoming to New Zealand right now - so if you’re quick it’s possible to get one.
via Seagate: Embrace the glow of Night City with the FireCuda 520 Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition SSD. This NVMe PCIe Gen4 SSD is encased in a custom-designed Cyberpunk 2077 heatsink and features built-in RGB LED lighting that makes your rig feel like it was ripped from the game. Plus, with only 2,077 drives being created — it’s truly a limited edition.
Underneath all the fancy themed finishings, it's an extremely fast SSD suitable for use in only in the latest systems with compatible motherboards and even then only when combined a select range of Intel 11th Gen or Ryzen CPU options - using the PCIe 4.0 connection to deliver speeds up to 9x faster than a regular SSD.
The Cyberpunk heatsink is both practical and pretty, with Seagate showing the lowering of temps by up to 22 degrees. The smart design passing air effectively over the discreet fins.
It is a lot larger than most though, so make sure the M.2 slot you intend to use isn't behind the GPU! Fitting wise it's all very easy for PC builders experienced or not, with the heatsink coming pre-attached, and being a Seagate drive we also get access to a range of exclusive benefits such as their industry-leading 5-year warranty with 3 years of Rescue Data Recovery assistance - nicely done Seagate.
That RGB lighting element can be connected to a motherboard header for complete control too, the photo at the top of this article shows it fitted in a Gaming PC and you'll see it coming out the left side of the M.2 SSD heatsink.
The new Cyberpunk 2077 SSD is incoming to NZ right now, so we'll keep our eyes on the Seagate Store and will update with the latest!
