It’s been 20 years since Bose launched their first pair of QuietComfort headphones, and now they're ready to show us just how far Bose can push the miniaturisation of personal audio technology. These new QC Earbuds feature proprietary hardware and software advancements that make them the most effective noise cancelling in-ear headphones ever.

And on that note, today we’re taking a closer look at the new Bose QC earbuds!

These have been in the works for a while now, and the BOSE team of engineers and designers tasked with packing the power of the over-ear Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 into a true wireless earbud. BOSE didn’t want to just meet expectations, they wanted to surprise, delight and give users an amazing sensory experience.

Designing such small earphones and delivering active noise-cancelling is a challenge. ANC requires a fair bit of processing power, and this, along the dual device design standard that is true wireless earphones, place significant demands on the form factor of such devices. They still need to have excellent battery life along with great sound for enjoying music, and a great microphone array for taking calls.

Via Denise Celuch, BOSE Product Manager: “Building a product takes thousands of detailed decisions made on a daily basis that all factor into the end result with the customer always in mind.”

Bose QuietComfort Earbuds use a new, dual-core digital chip for noise cancelling. It’s about half the size and uses half the power of the previous-generation chip but with 4x the computational power. This has allowed Bose to push the boundaries of what noise cancelling earbuds can deliver to the user.

From the category-defining 11 levels of noise cancellation, including full transparency or ambient mode, to amazing voice pickup on calls, on-bud touch controls and a simple, sleek design, all come together to make the Bose QC earbuds a truly excellent set of earphones.

Bose took all the goodness of their leading Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 and packed it all into a compact, truly wireless earbud.
