This is Logitech’s K375s, it's a keyboard that can connect to multiple devices at once.
It includes a stand in the box for holding a phone or a tablet. These things are handy to keep on your desk but the thing I like about the Logitech one is it includes a cut out for the home button, I know it doesn’t sound like much but the one I have at home doesn’t have one and it drives me nuts having to push my finger in between the button and the edge to turn my phones display on, so that’s cool that Logitech thought of that.
The keyboard layout is full size, but Logitech have compressed it into a rather low profile form factor, with the keys being slightly concave, it’s nothing over the top, but it does sort of guide your fingers into the centre which results in a comfortable typing experience. I did find the keys quite close together at first, and sometimes would hit the corner of a key and also collect the letters around it but over time I did get used to the spacing.
The big kicker with product is the ability to connect up to 3 devices at once, either through Bluetooth, or you can use the included 2.4ghz adapter, then you just simply tap either 1, 2 or 3 at the top of the keyboard to switch between them. The change is basically instant, you don’t need to sit and wait for it to connect every time, it works really well.
Some of the keys have short cuts on them that you can access by pressing the function key, on the computer all the short cut keys work as you would expect, you can quickly open a calculator or a web page, take screenshots or use the media controls. On iOS the media controls were great, and you get buttons for returning to your home page, increasing and decreasing the brightness, taking screenshots, searching the device or activating Siri, the only buttons that wouldn't work were the ones to launch the calculator or web page, which actually was the same experience I had on android as well, so you're still going to have to use your finger to navigate around your mobile devices.
it’s just nice to be at a desk and use what’s in front of you rather than mess around with an on-screen keyboard.
It’s pretty cool to be typing away, instantly switch to your phone and reply to a message or activate Siri to search for something. You can even unlock your device without touching your phone entirely.
Logitech claims this keyboard has a two-year battery life on the included AAA Batteries, I’m not sure how much daily use that’s based on but even if it did half that, that’s pretty good.
Some other features, it’s spill-resistant, so its okay if you knock a cup of water onto it, the wireless range is up to 10m, and it’s also got wireless encryption to protect your keystrokes.
The keys are quiet to type on, and the whole device is overall very lightweight. The only thing I think its missing is a place to keep the wireless adapter while you're not using it, but really that’s not such a big deal, because it's probably going to be in your computer anyway.
Overall I think it’s a great product, it does exactly what it says it does and if you're someone who is constantly switching between computers, or a desktop and a laptop, or just want to be able to reply to messages on your phone or tablet while still using the computer, this keyboard can do it all.
