Samsung's 2025 S95F OLED takes a clear step forward in nearly every area that matters.

It’s brighter than before, easier to watch in daylight thanks to a new glare-free finish, and delivers the kind of vibrant contrast and sharp motion you expect from a premium OLED television.

Gamers get top-tier performance with high refresh rates and ultra-low input lag, while movie lovers will appreciate the stunning colour reproduction and detail. On top of that, the upgraded Tizen OS with One UI brings a wealth of smart features, from personal recommendations to voice control, interactive viewing tools, and full smart home integration.

This is a TV built not just to perform, but to fit effortlessly into modern living. It’s one of the best you can get.

PROS CONS
  • Bright and glare-free
  • Vibrant colours and contrast
  • Excellent gaming features
  • Fast, intuitive interface
  • Useful AI tools
  • Slim design, One Connect Box
  • No Dolby Vision support

Design

The S95F looks as good turned off as it does on. It's incredibly slim, only around 1cm thick, and the bezels are barely noticeable.

The One Connect Box continues to be a standout feature. Rather than having loads of cables coming out of the back of the TV, everything plugs into the external box, which then connects to the screen with a single, almost invisible cable. If you want a clean, clutter-free setup, this is the way to go. It attaches directly to the back of the TV, but it also comes with a longer cable so you can sit it somewhere else as well. It’s great.

The TV supports wall mounting and fits neatly on a media unit with a central stand that’s sturdy and unobtrusive.

Display

Samsung's OLED TVs have always delivered deep blacks and brilliant contrast, but brightness was an area where they sometimes struggled, especially in direct daylight. With the 2025 model, Samsung has done its best to fix those issues. The new panel is 30% brighter than last year's and is “Glare-Free” boasting a matte finish that instead of reflecting everything in your living room, like the older TVs, diffuses reflections. The results are very impressive. Watching TV in the middle of the day isn’t an issue, the picture remains clear and watchable and additionally HDR (High Dynamic Range) content looks even better than it did before.

The colour reproduction here is phenomenal. The S95F continues to use QD-OLED technology, which enables extremely vibrant colours paired with OLED’s unbeatable contrast. The result is a picture that feels alive, no matter if you’re watching a vibrant nature documentary, or a dark gritty horror film.

Motion is handled well too. Fast-moving sports and action sequences remain sharp, with minimal blur or ghosting. There can be a bit of stutter in slow camera pans due to the OLED panel’s ultra-fast response time, but Samsung gives you options in the settings to smooth it out if needed.

One small limitation to note is Samsung’s ongoing lack of Dolby Vision support. That means content from streaming services like Netflix will default to HDR10, which still looks great, but if you're hoping for Dolby Vision HDR specifically, it’s not available here.

Gaming

This TV is a great choice for gaming. It supports 4K resolutions up to 120Hz on consoles, and up to 165Hz on PC. That high refresh rate means smoother motion and reduced blur which is exactly what you want when playing fast-paced shooters or racing games.

Input lag is almost non-existent, and you get full support for features like VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), G-SYNC, and FreeSync Premium Pro, all of which help keep gameplay fluid by matching the screen’s refresh rate to your game's frame rate.

There’s also a number of AI gaming enhancements here. The TV can automatically detect the type of game you’re playing and adjust settings accordingly. You also get Samsung's Game Bar which allows you to quickly tweak settings on the fly, if you want to add more of your customisation and picture personalisation.

Samsung’s Gaming Hub is built in, letting you stream titles via Xbox Cloud Gaming or with just a Bluetooth controller. When streaming games, you can feel a bit of lag, but that has nothing to do with the TV and more to do with your internet speed and relative distance to the servers.

Smart Features

This year's model also utilises Samsung's Tizen OS, but there have been some noticeable improvements here. The One UI layout is cleaner and more responsive, and the addition of user profiles means each person in your home can get personalised recommendations specifically for them. These recommendations are generated across apps and provided in an easy to find way on the Smart Hub interface. It runs quickly, apps load fast, and everything feels polished and easy to find.

One of the most impressive additions is Samsung's new Vision AI. This does a number of things behind the scenes like optimising sound, picture quality, and upscaling low resolution images when needed. But, the standout here is the Interactive Viewing Tools. If you’re watching a movie and want to know who the actor is on screen, you can get information without leaving your seat, just click a button on your remote and the information is there. It’s also able to translate subtitles on the fly. These aren’t gimmicks either, they work well.

If you integrate into the Samsung ecosystem, you can control other devices from your TV via SmartThings and you can also get notifications from your home devices. You can even control the TV using gestures with a compatible Samsung watch. All very cool stuff, perfect for anyone who is kitted out with Samsung products.

And yes, the included SolarCell remote still charges via room light or USB-C, so you never need to replace the batteries.

Sound

The S95F features a 4.2.2 speaker system and support for Dolby Atmos. If you're not familiar, Dolby Atmos is a surround sound technology that creates a 3D audio experience by placing sounds in a virtual space around and above you, making everything feel more immersive and lifelike.

It also uses something called Object Tracking Sound+, which tries to make the sound follow what's happening on screen. For example, if a car drives from left to right, you’ll hear the audio pan smoothly across. It’s subtle but provides an extra level of immersion you might not know you needed.

While it certainly performs well on its own, you’ll still want to pair it with a soundbar to unlock the best audio experience. Samsung's Q-Symphony feature lets the TV and a compatible Samsung soundbar work together in sync, giving you bigger, fuller sound without wasting the TV's internal speakers.

Verdict

To put it simply, Samsung’s S95F OLED is absolutely brilliant.. The picture quality is excellent, the gaming features are best-in-class, and the smart features actually add value.

If you want a TV that will hold up for years, look fantastic in any lighting, and make everything you watch or play feel just that bit more special, the S95F is hard to fault. This is one of the best TV’s ever made.
