Mi AirDots 2
Xiaomi is a brand that has a knack for delivering wicked value and they’ve done it again with the Mi AirDots 2. It’s the successor to the insanely popular Mi AirDots and it comes with improvements, including automatic pairing and lower latency.
The AirDots 2 have a simple all-black pill-shaped design – just like the AirDots. They’re super small and lightweight, so they’ll sit comfortably in your ear at only 4.1g per bud. They don’t have Active Noise Cancellation, but they’ll fit snugly in your ear, providing some decent passive noise cancellation.
They have 12 hours of battery life, allowing you to fit in a number of workouts or commutes before putting them on charge. If you’re on the road a lot, you might also appreciate the convenience of a voice assistant and simple one-key control for various tasks.
For the super affordable price, there’s nothing to complain about here. The Mi AirDots 2 have decent sound, reasonable battery life, a comfortable fit, and a pretty nice aesthetic – great value overall!
The Skullcandy Dime True Wireless Earbuds deliver impressive sound for a bargain price! Some have even coined it a budget alternative to the Apple AirPods. We won’t make that claim here, but they’re a pretty solid pair of true wireless earbuds.
The all-black earbuds have a minimal black design, graced with the Skullcandy logo on each bud. They’re nice and small so they’ll fit beautifully in your ears; and with three pairs of silicone ear tips to choose from, you should be able to get a nice seal for some passive noise cancellation.
What gets the Skullcandy Dime the most praise is the solid audio performance. The earbuds are said to deliver a powerful and balanced sound signature with rich lows and bright highs. They don’t have Active Noise Cancellation but that’s not too surprising considering the price. They do have solid mic clarity though meaning they’ll be fine to take calls on.
The Dime has an IPX4 sweat and water resistance rating, so you can workout or go on an adventure with no worries. Plus, they’re backed by SkullCandy’s Fearless Use Promise — so if you lose or break a part, you’ll be able to buy a replacement at a discount.
The Skullcandy Dime True Wireless Earbuds easily earn a spot on this list. You get surprisingly good audio performance for the price; plus they have decent mic clarity, and they’re water-resistant.
Huawei Freebuds 4i
Huawei has hit the sweet spot their latest pair of true wireless earbuds. The Freebuds 4i gives you big sound, as well as ANC, at a small price. Along with a secure fit and good battery life, you get great value for money!
The Freebuds 4i have a similar look to AirPods Pro with smooth long stems, and silicone tips for a snug and secure fit. They’re the right size for providing a secure seal that’ll lock the buds in place, and provide excellent passive noise isolation.
Thanks to the 10 mm dynamic coil driver and sensitive polymer composite diaphragm, the Freebuds 4i will bring you rich instrumental harmonies, clear vocals, punchy bass, and finely balanced sound. Better yet, Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) will dampen external sounds providing an even better listening experience.
The Freebuds 4i have a solid battery life that makes them a great all-day companion. Huawei claims you’ll get 7.5 hours of playback with ANC on; 10 hours with ANC off; and an additional 21 hours or so from the charging case.
