If you've been looking for a great kit of PC RAM for your next upgrade this is one for you! We've checked out an assortment of excellent kits from G. Skill, Corsair and Kingston - and they all have one thing in common - glorious RGB!

1. G.Skill Trident Z (NEO) RGB RAM

We expect you've all seen this G.Skill Trident Z in builds already. It’s called "the most brilliant RGB Ram" for good reason. The Trident Z heat spreader design is award-winning and G.Skill has custom engineered a ten-layer PCB offering maximum stability.

G.Skill Trident Z is the most popular RGB RAM Kits, with the best compatibility in builds from Asus, ASRock, Gigabyte and more.

Each stick has 5 zones of RGB lighting you can configure to your liking, and change on a whim!

This DDR4 memory kit gives an unbeatable performance and software-driven customisation, and that's really what puts the G.Skill Trident Z RGB into its top spot. Trident Z RGB RAM has its own professional software package with which you can adjust the lighting on five individual zones per DIMM, choose from a range of effects and customise as you see fit, but it also works perfectly with Asus AURA (who had a hand in designing the G.Skill software too), Gigabyte FUSION and even ASRock POLYCHROME!

2. Kingston FURY BEAST RGB RAM

This new Kingston FURY BEAST RGB Ram kit introduces a new heatsink style, and loses the previous HYPERX co-brand logo. It's a great design, looking like they took half of a Corsair RGB RAM kit and mashed it into their non-RGB FURY taking a little off the top :)

It doesn't always need to be a rainbow, you can set the RGB LED to whatever colour you want!

Now compatible with massive range of software, Kingston FURY BEAST makes full system colour sync super easy

Most importantly this new kit addresses a previous issue with the original HyperX co-brand RGB kits, the ability to change RGB colours with software!  The new software is called FURY CTRL, and with it you can tweak settings and make these new RAM options look utterly fantastic, or you can pair it with a motherboard that uses Gigabyte FUSION RGB, MSI Mystic Light, ASUS AORUS or ASRock POLYCHROME and sync it all at once!

Thanks to the low profile design, they work well in systems using large CPU heatsinks too. Nicely done Kingston.

3. Corsair Vengeance PRO (SL) RGB RAM

Those in the market for some RGB RAM have undoubtedly seen the new version of Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB already - with its mesmerising multi-zone RGB lighting and an aluminium heat spreader that comes in both black and white to match your build perfectly.

You can use Corsair software to control the RAM RGB, or a compatible motherboard

Corsairs own iCUE software synchronises your RGB lighting control across all compatible products with dozens of preset lighting profiles available to customise to your desire.

This article focuses on the best in RGB, but if you're after some RAM with a little less LED there are lots more options to check out in Desktop RAM. If you want to have a play around with builds be sure to check out the Custom PC building tool which has all these options loaded and many, many more!
