If our device is lost, stolen, or damaged, a backup can help restore contacts, photos, messages, and other important information. Not sure how to do it? Let us walk you through it!
How to back up your iPhone using iCloud
Backing up your iPhone using iCloud is easy. Follow these steps to do so:
1. Check that you're connected to Wi-Fi
Check that your iPhone is connected to a Wi-Fi network before we back it up. If you aren’t connected, you can connect to a Wi-Fi network under Settings > Wi-Fi.
2. Enable iCloud Backup
Go to Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > iCloud Backup. Toggle on ‘Backup This iPhone’. This will ensure your phone will regularly backup automatically.
3. Backup to iCloud
Even though you’ve turned automatic backup on, let’s create a backup right now so that we have a backup immediately. Tap ‘Back Up Now’. Stay connected to your Wi-Fi until this process has completed. Once the backup has completed, under ‘Back Up Now’, you will see the last date and time that your phone was backed up.
