UPDATE: The Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti is available for order now
Limited stocks from Gigabyte, Asus and PNY models have landed in NZ ahead of the release, with stock ETA still being confirmed for EVGA & MSi models.

The new range includes many new models that use the same cooler designs we seen in recent releases, but as the internet continues to fill up with early benchmarks let’s take a closer look at some of the new RTX 3060 Ti Graphics Cards cooler designs that come along with this new release!

- 8GB GDDR6 Memory
- 1x 8-Pin Power Input (Standard config, the largest AORUS model uses 6+8Pin)
- Recommended PSU is 650W
- DisplayPort 1.4a and HDMI 2.1
Starting first with new Gigabyte EAGLE RTX 3060 Ti we see a new cooler design that’s significantly smaller than what we’ve seen in other recently released EAGLE series graphics cards.
The new cooler system features twin 100mm fans which spin in alternate directions, with 4 composite copper heat pipes for high efficiency heat dissipation. We’ve seen many of the triple fan models adopt opposite direction fans in the centre, but this is may be the first time we’ve seen this method used in this smaller form factor so it will be exciting to see the reduction in turbulence, and the enhanced airflow pressure.
The fan blades Gigabyte use are specially designed too, they split the airflow using the triangular fan edge, guiding it smoothly through the 3D stripe curve on the fan surface. Graphene nano lubricant is used, which Gigabyte say can extend the life of fan by 2.1x while still being quieter than a dual ball-bearing fan system. Towards the back of this RTX 3060 Ti we also see Gigabyte have cut away a section of the backplate again, allowing for airflow to pass right through the graphics cards heatsink.
The Gigabyte Eagle has subtle RGB lighting too, this can be configured using the RGB Fusion 2.0 software suite along with other compatible components - so if you’re also upgrading your RAM, chassis or fans, look out for the Gigabyte FUSION badge on the box for better integration and control of the system as a whole.
Looking at PNY we see another great twin fan option in their cooler design named UPRISING and it’s dark, with no RGB lighting to be seen. The shroud does have a subtle blade-like pattern to it, edging the fans and adding to the aesthetic.
Looking specifically at the display outputs on the PNY RTX 3060 Ti Uprising we see a combination of DisplayPort 1.4a and HDMI 2.1, so it’s ready to output extremely high FPS even at 4K - and although it’s slightly less powerful than the recently released RTX 3070, with the right game (Warframe for example) this card is an absolute beast even at 3840x2160 resolution.
Great looking graphics cards indeed, and such a short wait from tease to release with the RTX 3060 Ti set to become available at 3am on Thursday the 3rd on December here in New Zealand, check out all the latest models in Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti today!

Retailers need to be more transparent about their stock situations to the public. It is outrageous staying up all night just to attempt to snatch up one of the 4 available pieces of GPUs. (Looking at you PBtech for not telling us the numbers of the 6800 and 6800xt stock before it was released).

Trust me there are stock similar to RTX 3070 and not like RX 6800 so there is very much chance you can grab one around $750-$999 range.. Good Luck.. Transparency?? - Forget it.. I had been asking the same question multiple times but there was no response not even via indication.

Makes sense. PBTech has been selling all new RTX cards at 2 time USD MSRP in NZD. The 3060 ti MSRP being at USD399, it would be sold at NZD800, even though it should be closer to NZD600...

No import tax on items less than NZD1000, as GST is collected on it. As for shipping, it works out at NZD15 max. Should come up at NZD685, not NZD800

I believe the "no import tax" on GOODS less than $1000 NZD is based on total value of all goods, not individual items. Chances are, PB imports goods in bulk to reducing shipping costs, and the likelihood of PB doing an order from a supplier/manufacturer for over $1000 is highly likely. As for shipping, shipping to NZ is very expensive, especially from USA. $15 NZD for shipping is borderline low, I order a book for $50 USD, and the shipping on top of that is $60 - $70 USD (fedex/dhl/UPS). I think even if the 3060 TI was sold at $800, I wouldn't complain given the situation around the world at the moment, although $700 - $750 would be great too :) Just my input.

Tax as in sales tax due to how US states have differing tax rates. It's unfair to just straight convert MRSP no matter the situation and claim it's overpriced without adding GST then converting. It's closer to $700 in this scenario, and we're paying for middlemen as well.

Amazon charges GST nowadays. Given that nVidia and AMD don't drop prices, you will be lucky to get it at 750$ in the long term - with local price stabilising around 800. The only way they will become cheaper is if NZ$ goes back to the old days of 0.80US$; that's a long shot.
